Full-Time Training - Testimonies

The Lord's Call, Sergio Sanchez

I love my Lord Jesus. There was always an inner seeking in my spirit to be trained, to be more useful to my Lord. Whenever I would see other brothers being trained, I would have a longing to be trained also. As I considered that I didn't have an education, I thought I wasn't qualified to enter the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA). But I thank the Lord “That the things that are impossible with man, are possible with God” (Luke 18:27).

My experience began with fellowship with an older brother concerning the need the Lord has for workers. Since that moment something within my spirit was stirred up. The more I prayed, the more this desire grew within my spirit. When the FTTA began to accept middle aged brothers and sisters, I spoke with the leading brothers in my local church.

They suggested that I speak to my boss at work to see if he would allow me to take a personal leave of absence for 4 ½ months without pay. My boss cheerfully approved my request as he responded, “Go, and when you return, your position will be waiting for you.” The outcome is that I am here at the FTTA. Glory to God!

Now that I am here in the Training, I have experienced much enlightenment and I have realized that it is not easy for my natural man to be so exposed. The class that has helped and exposed me the most is the one on Character, since it has lead me to have a personal time with the Lord. My longing and desire is to serve the Lord jointly with my beloved wife who is also my spiritual companion. I am an open vessel waiting for the Lord's future guidance.
